Nissan Titan Warrior | Redefining Pick-Ups
If you like adventurous off-road driving then you’re going to be pretty excited about this new model Nissan presented at the 2016 NAIAS. Nissan Titan Warrior is a mighty, aggressive looking off-road pick-up truck with a 5.0 L V8 turbo diesel engine.
This new Warrior concept was developed from the original Nissan Titan XD. People from Nissan wanted to upgrade this model into something more powerful for an off-road adventure. The Warrior concept uses the exact same platform and the same engine as the original Titan XD but it has much more off-road features and a more robust outside look.
When it comes to the size of the body, the Nissan Titan Warrior is also a bit bigger than the original Titan XD. Since this new model uses 37-inch off-road tires, the body itself had to be 3 inches higher and 3 inches wider, so these big, new and rugged tires could fit perfectly. These tires are attached to aluminum-alloy dark matte wheels. Above the wheels, you’ll find carbon fiber fenders. All four fenders have been flared for a more muscular display.
On the hood, you’ll notice an installed ventilation system. Its
purpose is to cool down the powerful 5.0-liter turbo diesel engine.
Nissan used LED lighting for the front and rear end of the vehicle. The
roof also has LED off-road lights. Both front and rear bumpers are made
out of Carbon fiber, as well as the rear cab spoiler. The whole body is
coated with a matte gunmetal called “Thunder”. All of these features
provide the Warrior with a truly intimidating look.
Regarding the suspension, this mighty pick-up truck has custom upper and
lower control arms and reliable racing-styled shocks at both ends of
the vehicle. As we said earlier, the whole suspension had to be raised 3
inches because of the huge 18×9.5-inch wheels with rugged off-road
tires.
Now let’s step inside this new Nissan Titan Warrior to see what is hiding behind that mighty exterior. Inside the pretty spacious cabin you’ll find leather carbon-colored seats with some subtle orange details. The whole interior is covered with carbon fiber, polished chrome and leather. This pick-up truck is packed with an integrated trailer brake controller, an electronic locking rear differential, an Around View Monitor, rearview camera and a trailer sway control.
There is no information on when will this new Nissan Titan Warrior hit the market and how much it may cost, but one thing is certain, this new concept may be a redefining moment when it comes to off-road pick-ups.
